The House Small Business Committee invited Zurich’s Erica Davis, Senior Vice President and Head of Specialty Products Errors and Omissions, to testify at its hearing “Protecting Small Businesses from Cyber Attacks: the Cybersecurity Insurance Option.” This hearing examined the challenges small businesses face in selecting a cybersecurity insurance policy and the hurdles insurers must overcome to offer viable and comprehensive cybersecurity insurance solutions.

Ms. Davis has been instrumental to the Zurich cyber value proposition, helping to actively manage loss trends and aggregation interests and develop insurance solutions for evolving cyber exposures. As she describes in her testimony, Zurich’s approach to cyber security includes understanding attitudes to cyber risk, providing tailored coverage based on customer need, and working with businesses to adopt a mindset of resilience rather than protection alone.

As a global leader in managing risk, and one of the five insurance providers currently leading the North American cybersecurity insurance market, Zurich is committed to staying at the forefront of the cyber security issue and is invested in identifying risks and delivering solutions for businesses.
