Zurich participates in Swiss Embassy event highlighting Switzerland’s U.S. economic footprint

Zurich North America Chief Legal Officer Dennis Kerrigan recently participated on a panel at the U.S. Capitol hosted by the Swiss Embassy for the launch of a new publication “Switzerland’s Economic Footprint in the United States: Creating Jobs and Supporting the U.S. Economy.” The event was designed to help educate members of Congress and their staffs.

After hearing from several members of Congress, Dennis highlighted Zurich’s commitment to the United States and positive impact to the U.S. economy. According to the report, Switzerland ranks as the seventh-largest foreign investor in the U.S. with a cumulative direct investment of $224 billion. Swiss companies directly create nearly 500,000 U.S. jobs.

Dennis is the Chairman of the Board of the Organization for International Investment (OFII), a non-profit business association representing U.S. operations of many of the world’s leading global companies, which in-source millions of American jobs.
